Beachfront luxury, winning improvements at Virgin Gorda Villa Sol y Sombra

The sumptuous and regal Sol y Sombra is now an even sweeter respite, offering calming trade winds, fine white sand, and the ocean’s whispers. On a recent visit, we found the villa as pristine and luxurious as ever… and some amazing additions!

Now, the Tennis Suite features a brand-new Master Bath, with the existing bath repurposed for use by the occupants of the Sitting Room’s 2 day beds. The addition of a door between these rooms effectively creates a 5th bedroom, for parents who need to be near their children. Sol y Sombra has been transformed from a 4-bedroom, 4.5 bath to a 5 bedroom, 5.5 bath property (each of the bedrooms has its own full bathroom, plus there is a powder room inside the air-conditioned office in the Main Pavilion).

Also added to Sol y Sombra are energy-efficient plantation shutters on all windows, to keep the sun and heat out while offering excellent privacy. A margarita machine is stationed in the kitchen for cooling potables to release your inner chill! Air conditioning has been added to the kitchen at Sol y Sombra as well.

There’s an automatic generator in case of island outages, and if you are a repeat guest of Sol y Sombra, you will be treated to a complimentary dinner prepared by a local chef on your second night. We highly recommend Chef  Chet!
